XL Insurance has appointed Seraina Maag as chief executive of its North America Property & Casualty (P&C) unit. She succeeds Dennis Kane, who will retire at the end of the year.
Ace Westchester, the US-based property and casualty operation of the ACE Group, has appointed Joseph Casey as president of ACE Westchester Professional Lines, who will be responsible for leading overall efforts, including new business development, strategic direction and implementation of underwriting strategy and product development of all management and professional liability products and services.
Chartis, a property-casualty and general insurance provider, has appointed Samir Shah as senior vice president and chief risk officer, who will be responsible for worldwide risk management strategies.

They all will be reporting to Kevin Schneider, president of US Mortgage Insurance
